The Strengthening Families Program of Greene County held its Spring 2022 graduation ceremony on June 30, 2022, at Branch Heights Community Center in Greene County, Eutaw, AL.
The graduation is held to honor and recognize the families for their achievements and their commitment to complete the 14-consecutive weeks of class.
A total of six families completed the program, which included four parents, two grandparents, six teenagers, and seven children.
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) was first implemented in Greene County in 2016. Since that time, at least one 14-week program has been held each year, except for 2020.
The SFP is designed to strengthen parenting life skills, children’s life skills, and family life skills. For more information on the Strengthening Families Program in Greene County or if you would like to become a volunteer, please contact Mildred J. Morgan, Coordinator and Site Facilitator.

The fair was held at the Boligee Town Hall. Brochures, Pamphlets, Flyers, and Promotional items were handed out to attendees. This was a very informative and entertaining Health and Wellness Fair.

The pictures were taken as members of the Greene County Children’s Policy Council packed 1,000 backpacks to distribute to each school.
Local children’s book author, Joycelyn Zinnerman Steele, visited the Strengthening Families Program on Tuesday night, July 20, 2021, at Branch Heights Community Center. The children’s class was amazed as Mrs. Steele read aloud her book entitled “The Square Nose Pig.”
